The people behind The River
Welcome to The River Christian Church. We are a family of Christ-followers who believe that God desires everyone to be in a relationship with Him. We are dedicated to growing closer to Him by serving in His Name, studying His Word, and applying His truths to our daily lives. Jesus Christ is the most inviting hope for mankind that the world has ever experienced. It is our intention to introduce you to the most amazing and fulfilling life imaginable—an eternal life.
If you are already a Christ-follower and would like to join us as disciples who make disciples of Christ, then please feel free jump right in. We serve together and then enjoy the privilege of worshipping together each week.
Our leadership team would love to meet you and show you how to get involved.

What We Believe
The Trinity. (Deuteronomy 6:4-5; Ephesians 4:6; John 17:21)
We Believe in God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit and that they are distinct personalities with distinct roles, but one God. And that One God is the Creator of the universe.
The Bible. (2 Timothy 3:16-17; 1 Peter 1:20, 21)
The Bible is the divinely inspired Word of God in its entirety and it does not contradict itself. It is our guide.
Jesus Christ. (1 Timothy 2:5, 6; Hebrews 1:8)
Jesus Christ is the Messiah, the Savior, the Son of God who was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died on a cross, and was raised from the grave. He will return as our victorious Lord.
Salvation. (Ephesians 2:8-9)
Salvation comes only through Jesus Christ and cannot be earned. It is a gift of God.
The Church. (1 Corinthians 12:13; Ephesians 2:11-21; Matthew 16:8; Acts 2:38)
The church, as the body of Christ, is the extension of Jesus Christ's character, attitude, behavior, and mission in our world today.
Repentance, Confession, Baptism. (Romans 6:4; 2 Peter 3:9)
Faith in Jesus requires repentance, confession of that faith before witnesses, and obedience to His Word. Baptism by immersion demonstrates our faith and obedience while it depicts our union with Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection.
Spiritual Gifts. (Genesis 1:26, 27; Romans 3:10, 23)
Man was created in the image of God and He gives gifts to both men and women through the Holy Spirit for the benefit of the church's ministry.
Holy Spirit. (John 16:7-15; Romans 8:16; Ephesians 4:7; 1 Corinthians 12:7)
Everyone who accepts Christ has the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit who acts as a Comforter, Guide, and Advocate.
Prayer & Communion. (1 Corinthians 11:23, 24)
Humility in prayer is the foundation for all we do and celebrating communion together regularly is beneficial for all Christians.
Marriage. (Genesis 2:7, 18, 21-24; 1 Timothy 3:2, 12; Ephesians 5:22-31; 1 Corinthians 6:9; Hebrews 13:4)
Marriage has been established by God. This church defines “marriage” as the exclusive covenantal union of one man and one woman in which such union is a lifetime commitment. A civil government’s sanction of a union will be recognized as a legitimate marriage by the church only to the extent that it is consistent with the definition of “marriage” found in our Bylaws.
